Mitch & I returned from our trip to Dallas last week…we had so much fun! While he attended an annual meeting for swine veterinarians each day, my mom, sister & I were exploring the town. Here are some of our highlights:
Mitch & Clayton (who we saw in Wichita) playing with the display:

Just having fun: Mom & Tracy howling at the moon; Tracy with her favorite saying.

Charlie, who we met at the Flight Museum, posing by a picture of himself in a WW2 fighter plane.

The road where JFK was shot with the book depository in the background;
an okapi we saw at the zoo, a relative of the giraffe I’d never heard of.

Heading out for dinner with some of Mitch’s coworkers & their spouses.
The buffalo filet mignon that night was unbeatable!

Looks like a fun trip and by the way you were all dressed that it was nice weather too!

Sounds like a fun time. Did you get an eerie vibe at the bank depository? I sure did. We’ve all seen the footage of the parade so many times! I’ve never heard of an Okapi!

The bank depository was very eerie – they really set the stage for what happend that day. The tour was really well done. They put glass around the area where the gunman shot out the window & left it looking like it did at that time with boxes of books stacked.
