Loving Fall

We are officially loving this beautiful Fall weather! I know 70 & sunny won’t last forever…so we’re spending lots of time outside while it’s here. We went to a state park near here last weekend & walked around for a bit with Abe & Wriggs. Abe feels MUCH heavier when hanging on you! He is up to 19 pounds now…big boy!

Little trip

We took a little trip to Minnesota for Labor Day weekend. Stillwater was on a list of small towns in the Midwest to check out, so we did just that. It was 70 & sunny…we had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend it for a short trip – lots of cute little shops, antique shops, and a beautiful river walk.

Abe, aka Billy Bob, after our trip to a nice restaurant. He pooped through the shirt & ended up sitting at the table in his overalls…we had to laugh.

We made a stop at Kellie & Dustin’s place on our way back from Stillwater. Here is Lucy sitting in Abe’s Bumbo seat. Abe’s legs are almost too chubby to fit in the leg holes…but Lucy’s had no problem!

Falls Park

A couple weeks ago we went to Sioux Falls for the evening & visited Falls Park. We had never heard of it and were very pleasantly surprised – it’s beautiful! I’d recommend stopping through if you’re ever in the area.

Weekend at the lake

Mitch’s family got together at Spirit Lake this weekend for our (hopefully) annual summer outing. We were able to rent a great house on the lake that we would all highly recommend! Here are some photos of us on our relaxing weekend…

Well actually Grandma came to our house! My mom came to visit for a couple days this week. We went for walks through town with the stroller, went out for lunch & cuddled with Abe plenty. So fun:)

We measured Abe while Mom was here – he hasn’t grown in length at all (still 22″), but he has gained at least a pound since his initial birth weight. I think most of his additional weight went right to his cheeks! So kissable.

Here’s the baby boy all cleaned up & ready to attend Mitch’s 10-year class reunion last weekend. The poor boy’s hair gets greased up so easily because we’re constantly touching it! We had fun showing him off at the reunion & catching up with Mitch’s friends from high school. Someone pointed out that the main thing that’s changed is all the men now have less hair on their heads, and are compensating by having lots of facial hair! Whatever works.

Kellie & the kids came to visit over the weekend – here are some cute pictures of Lucy & Elias holding Abe. Lucy loved holding him, but I’m pretty sure Elias only wanted to hold him because Lucy did! My sister, Tracy, also visited with one of her friends earlier this week. It’s been fun having visitors come…especially the kind who make dinner for you! I’m sure Abe loved all the extra kisses, too.
